Dr Cherry Baylosis, Expert Advisor

Dr Cherry Baylosis has extensive experience in community services, with 20 years of service in government and not-for-profit sectors. She has managed systemic advocacy programs and disability campaigns, has led and supported research projects on disability and psychosocial issues and has published a range of academic articles.

Dr Baylosis holds a PhD in media and communications and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Sydney’s Centre for Disability Policy and Research. With lived experience of psychosocial disability, and caring for family with severe psychosocial disability, she is passionate about using storytelling and research as a way of challenging systemic injustice.
